Farewell

My first day of school
I was nervous and scared
You looked so friendly
Your long blonde hair

I sat down before you
and looked at your face
you handed me a puzzle piece
and showed me its place

It was a hard morning
after a bad night
your smile assured me
it would be alright

one of a dove
I drew race cars
my fist puppy love

Time passes
and we grew apart
but nothing fills
your place in my heart

I rode past your house
day after day
hoping to see you
watch me ride away

More time goes
waiting like fools
the clock ticks on
all through High School

Off to college we go
furthering our paths
You to the North
Me to the South

Time is an illusion
Where has it gone
Soon we are married
and maintaining a home

Happy family with dogs,
even a cat
Nice house'n job
to help pay for it

We grow older
your eyes are still blue
nice happy family
wish I was with you



I see you have a family
I see you are happy
I cannot interrupt that.
I cannot bear to be around you and not love you.
