I tried so hard to love you, but you broke my heart...twice

We decided to part and stop hurting each other.
We vowed to never try again.  To walk away and never look back.
We parted and went our different ways, but I was overwhelmed.
I turned for our Casablanca moment, but you were gone.
Then it started to rain.
